Early Life

Born on March 23, 1996, Alexander Albon Ansusinha is a Thai-British racing driver who entered the world of motorsport at a very young age. His journey into racing began through the encouragement of his father, Nigel Albon, who played a pivotal role in introducing him to karting and nurturing his early passion for the sport.
Junior Career

Albon's karting career spanned from 2006 to 2010, during which he established himself as a formidable competitor. His early success included winning the 2006 Super 1 Honda National Championship in the Cadet Class, followed by the 2009 Super 1 Honda National Championship in the KF3 Class, and culminating with the 2010 European Championship in the KF3 Class.
In 2012, Albon's talent earned him a coveted spot in the Red Bull Junior Team, marking his transition to open-wheel racing. He made his debut in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 with EPIC Racing, finishing 38th out of 49 drivers in his maiden season. Remaining in Formula Renault 2.0, he joined KTR for the following seasons, steadily improving from 16th place in 2013 to an impressive 3rd place finish in 2014.
His progression continued in 2015 with a move to European Formula 3, where he finished 7th overall. The following year proved pivotal when ART signed Albon to compete in the GP3 Series alongside Charles Leclerc. In a closely contested championship battle, Albon finished as runner-up to his teammate in the drivers' championship. ART retained his services for 2017 as he stepped up to the FIA Formula 2 Championship, completing his maiden year in 10th position.
Racing Career

Albon made his Formula One debut in 2019 with Toro Rosso, marking the culmination of his journey through the junior categories. His impressive early performances caught the attention of Red Bull management, and on August 12, 2019, the team announced that Albon would be promoted to the senior Red Bull team, replacing Pierre Gasly. The driver swap took effect from the 2019 Belgian Grand Prix, with Gasly returning to Toro Rosso.
After his stint with Red Bull, Albon eventually joined Williams Racing, where he currently competes in Formula One, continuing his career at the sport's highest level.
