Carlos Sainz Jr

Carlos Sainz Vázquez de Castro was born on September 1, 1994, in Spain. He comes from a distinguished motorsport lineage as the son of Carlos Sainz, a former double World Rally Champion. This family connection to motorsport excellence would prove instrumental in shaping his path toward professional racing.

Sainz's ascent through the junior racing categories was methodical and successful. In 2012, he competed in both the British and European Formula 3 championships, racing for the respected Carlin team. This provided crucial experience in competitive single-seater racing.

His progression continued in Formula Renault 3.5, where he raced for DAMS in 2014. This campaign proved to be the breakthrough moment of his junior career, as Sainz captured the championship title, demonstrating he had the speed and consistency required for Formula One.
