Charles Leclerc
Early Life

Charles Marc Hervé Perceval Leclerc was born on 16 October 1997 in Monaco. As a Monégasque, he represents one of the most prestigious locations in motorsport, growing up in the principality that hosts Formula One's most glamorous race.
Junior Career

Leclerc's ascent through the junior formulae was swift and decisive. He claimed the GP3 Series championship in 2016, demonstrating his ability to compete at the highest levels of junior motorsport.
Building on that success, Leclerc dominated the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017, securing the title and positioning himself as one of the most promising prospects for Formula One. This back-to-back championship success in the sport's premier feeder series marked him as a driver destined for the top level.
Racing Career

Leclerc made his Formula One debut with Sauber in the 2018 season, having earned his seat through his impressive junior career performances. His talent was immediately recognized by the sport's most successful team.
On 11 September 2018, Scuderia Ferrari announced that Leclerc would join the team for the 2019 season, replacing Kimi Räikkönen in a move that would see the Finnish driver return to Sauber. Initially announced for just the 2019 season, Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene soon indicated that Leclerc's contract would extend for four seasons, running at least until 2022, demonstrating the team's long-term commitment to the young Monégasque driver.
