George Russell
Early Life

George William Russell was born on 15 February 1998 in King's Lynn, Norfolk. His journey into motorsport began at the age of eight when he started karting in 2006, setting the foundation for what would become a distinguished racing career.
Junior Career

Russell's karting career progressed rapidly through the ranks. By 2009, he had advanced to the cadet class where he captured both the MSA British championship and British Open championship titles. His momentum continued in 2010 when he moved up to the Rotax Mini Max category, delivering a dominant season that saw him claim the Super One British championship and Formula Kart Stars British championship, while also taking victory at the prestigious Kartmasters British Grand Prix.
Russell's ascent through the junior formulae eventually led him to Formula 2, where on 18 January 2018, he was confirmed as a driver for ART Grand Prix for the 2018 FIA F2 Championship. This campaign would mark the debut of the new Dallara F2/18 car in an expanded 12-race calendar.

Currently competing in Formula One for Mercedes, Russell represents the latest generation of British racing talent to reach the sport's highest level, having climbed through the traditional pathway from karting to the pinnacle of motorsport.
