Yuki Tsunoda

Yuki Tsunoda was born in Sagamihara, Japan, growing up in a country with a rich motorsport heritage but limited representation in Formula 1's top tier. His journey into motorsport began in karting, following a path similar to many Formula 1 drivers.

His talent was evident from an early age, and he quickly progressed through Japan's competitive karting scene. Unlike many of his contemporaries who remained in European junior categories, Tsunoda initially developed his skills closer to home before making the significant leap to international competition.

His junior career saw him compete in various formula categories, including Japanese Formula 4, where he honed his craft against strong domestic competition. Tsunoda's breakthrough came when he moved to European racing, competing in Formula 3 and Formula 2.

The current 2025 season has brought significant change for Tsunoda with his move to Red Bull Racing, one of Formula 1's most successful teams. Despite being positioned at 17th in the current championship standings, his season has included a career highlight with a podium finish, achieving a best result of third place.
